Why Eva's Attic was set up and how it will help the community
Eva's Attic is operated by the Eva Doucas Charitable Trust. Its trustees are Theresa Gattung and Margaret Doucas.
Margaret and Theresa and many of their friends recognise a need for a venue to donate premium clothing and other treasures to be sold at a good price to benefit charities. And not just one, but a variety of charities which are small and don't have their own shop or fundraising staff.
When our wardrobes become over full or we make a purchasing error it is helpful to know that if we don't want to sell them ourselves, these valuable items can be sold at a price that reflects their value and that this will benefit the community.
Recycling these items to an appreciative purchaser, is good for the planet and feels good too! Eva's Attic operates with volunteers to staff the shop. The following charities are providing volunteers and are gratefully thanked for this. These charities do not have their own shops or fundraising staff: contact James on his email.
